I spoke some time ago about the secret code of books , that sort of virus that infected writers and publishers, causing dozens of encoded books to explode in bookshops. From The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown to The Atlantis Code by Charles Brokaw which has yet to be released, a review of 50 books that talk about this or that code . Well, the story isn't over yet. Because there is another virus going around, always affecting writers and publishers. Which caused two dozen chaste books to regurgitate into bookshops . Not in the sense of untouched, clean. But books that talk about this or that caste .
On May 2, 2007, a book was released that will be talked about a lot: La caste by Sergio Rizzo and Gian Antonio Stella (Rizzoli, 2007), a nice overview of Italian politics, a book that obviously couldn't be missing from my library. The same year another writer discovered another caste. And he shows it off in the title, aware of his colleague's success and ready to take advantage of his wake. I'm talking Special Data about the book The newspaper caste by Beppe Lopez (Alternative Press – Rai Eri, 2007). 2007 ends here, with just two titles that have, in fact, paved the way for many other castes. It seems that our country is based on caste, because these books have touched almost all corners of Italy. In 2008, writers and publishers got smart and churned out five titles on caste. La casta bianca by Paolo Cornaglia Ferraris (Mondadori, 2008), Lady Asl are released . The Healthcare caste by Alessio D'Amato, Dario Petti (Editori Riuniti, February 2008), The caste traps us by Sergio Pizzuti, Marco Raja (Edizioni Giuridiche Simone, 2008), Printed caste.
Vices, virtues and privileges of journalists by Luigi Bacialli (Mursia, 2008) and La Casta dei Casti by AA. VV. (Malatempora, 2008), which almost seems to want to encompass all the chaste books. But it won't be like that. 2009 counters with the same number of publications, another five chaste books: The caste of rubbish by Bruno De Stefano, Vincenzo Iurillo (Newton Compton, 2009), The holy caste of the Church by Claudio Rendina (Newton Compton, 2009), The other caste by Stefano Livadiotti (Bompiani, 2009), The origins of caste. From Romulus to Silvius by Gaetano Rocco (Pixel, 2009) and The law is us. The caste of Italian justice by Stefano Zurlo (Piemme, 2009). 2010 is the best year for castes. Writers and publishers have now embarked on the long road of plagiarism and copy-paste, they have studied and analyzed market data and are offering the public the beauty of seven (7) titles.
